About Kickstart
Kickstart is a children's club for 6 to 11 year olds.
It is held at the Preston Road Community Centre in Abingdon on Thursday's from 6-7.30pm (during term-time).
The evening consists of a mixture of games, singing, Bible-based stories and other activities.
It costs 50p to come to Kickstart. Sweets are awarded as prizes during the evening.
The children collect points (stamps on their hand) throughout the term by doing well at games, answering questions etc. and are then given a prize at the end of term based on the number of points they have gained.
We require a consent form to be completed and signed by parents before children can attend, to inform us of any medical requirements and allow us to act on their behalf in a medical emergency. This form can be downloaded here and is also available at the club.
Jan / Feb 2010
We start again after Christmas on 14th January and run through until the 11th February.
The stories this term are about John Paton, a Scotsman from the 19th Century who went to tell Cannibals about Jesus, and we'll hear all the exciting things that happened to him along the way.
Activities this term will include Team Pictionary, Lego challenge, Mini-Olympics and Skittles.
